Cash from developers is being used to pay for a pedestrian crossing over a busy A road.
Engineers from Surrey County Council (SCC) and Reigate and Banstead Borough Council secured the funding from developer contribution for the A217 at Brighton Road and Burgh Wood.
The Local Committee for SCC and the borough has a combined £204,182 from capital and revenue pots to spend on highways this year.
In a report to be approved by the committee on Tuesday next week (June 5), works carried out last year were outlined along with proposed works for this financial year.
This included the A217 crossing plus an enhanced gateway scheme on the A25 Buckland Road in Reigate.
Works highlighted in the report to be carried out in 2018/19 include:
