A mother from Horley has made a desperate plea for help to find her 18-year-old son who is currently studying for his A-levels.
Alexander Diaz-Leonditsis, of Poynes Road, disappeared under uncharacteristic circumstances when he left his home at 12.30/1pm on Friday (June 29).
His mother, Beatriz Diaz del Pino, said: “He is my son, he is a very good person and he was studying very hard for his A-levels.
“This is so unlike him. Nobody has seen him anywhere. We’ve been looking since yesterday.
“I don’t know what to do or what to say. I’m lost. I don’t know anything.”
Ms Pino said that Alex said he was going for a walk when he left and he didn’t take items he would normally have on him at all times.
She said: “He went for a walk and never came back. Nobody knows anything. None of his friends saw him after he left or anything.
“He left everything here. His phone, his medication, his laptop, his wallet. He doesn’t have anything on him. He just said he was going out. He only turned 18 last week.”
Alex, an A-level student at Reigate College, is said to be olive skinned, 5ft 8 inches tall, of medium build with short black/brown hair.
He was last seen wearing grey Adidas shorts with light blue sides, a grey t-shirt with a Nike logo, a navy blue jumper, black trainers and also has a back pack with him.
A police spokesperson said: “His disappearance is out of character and officers are concerned for his welfare as he does not have relevant medication with him which may make him vulnerable.
“He also does not have his wallet or mobile phone.”
